- Manage tasks and activities in a timely manner and accountable for desired outcomes with limited supervision
- Prepare and/or generate reporting using Excel and other firm standard software
- Develop and manage client relationships and expectations

- Train, share knowledge, and act as a role model for junior TSS team members
- Provide back-up support to TSS Operations Analyst Associates (OAAs) as needed
- Identify and share process improvement ideas with TSS leadership and implement approved process improvements
- Proactively communicate questions and concerns with TSS leadership and clients
- Fully competent in core payroll concepts such as hires, separations, and data integrity
- Review and process Payroll transactions in accordance with established department and state/ local guidelines
- Determine and set-up employee's tax obligations dependent on work, home and/or engagement locations
- Responsible for all aspects of reconciliation and balancing of Payroll transactions
- Analyze standard to complex taxation to execute adjustments for current and prior years
- Process multi-state adjustments per timesheet submissions
- Supports complex payroll transactions including domestic and international transfers, deductions in arrears calculations, partner earnings and partner separations transactions
- Analyze, calculate and determine appropriate approach for off-cycle transactions, overpayments, disability adjustments, retro payment adjustments and final payouts in accordance with federal and state regulatory guidelines
- Communicate with members of the Americas Talent Team (ATT), EY personnel and external parties regarding payroll issues as appropriate
- Prepare, analyze and contribute to reports as directed
- Meets production volume and quality standards as outlined by department management
- Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Escalates issues as needed
- Assists with special projects as requested

- Demonstrate advanced proficiency with Firm standard technology including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Success Factors, and other related applications

- Works effectively with others within the PSS Center, field APT, and other EY personnel and external parties
- Effective with the use of Payroll systems and firm standard technology including Windows, Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, Intranet, Case Management tools/tracker, Call Center tools, Access database, and other PSS related application
- Understands internal office structure and reporting relationships within the PSS
- Experience in Payroll processing environment, proficient with federal/state/local tax set-up based on work/resident location; knowledge of overtime calculations in a non-standard work week
- Working hours, flexible work arrangements, and time off may be limited during specific times due to business demands

Education:
- Bachelor's degree, preference will be given for those with US payroll specialization
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) will be an added advantage
- Minimum 5+ years of payroll related HR experience, or similar
- Demonstrated experience working with different stakeholders with competing needs
- Working in international and diverse environments
