- Manage the corporate planning submission process for Opex and Capex, which involves collaborating with partners, examining and consolidating data, and delivering the final budget to market planning.
- Drive realistic plans from business partners by carefully examining and discussing the drivers and assumptions behind the numbers.
- Manage and refine the templates necessary for submission, ensuring efficient automation.
- Ensure continuous review of the budget throughout the year by analyzing actual versus planned variances and discussing outcomes with partners.
- Build and deliver reports to budget owners, highlighting important deviations and collaborating to understand explanations.
- Hold quarterly review meetings with partners to formally review and document progress.
- Seek and implement improvements in Salary and Fringe planning, a main component of Opex.
- Ensure Opex/ Capex partners prepare BAP Memo under JTI operating guidelines, facilitate preparation and review of financial information, and ensure quality narratives for smooth approval.
- Advise business collaborators on the financial consequences of decisions and their related effects, encouraging a cost-conscious approach.
- Educate non-finance teams on finance topics, including Goods Receipt, Accounting Impacts of OCC and FCF, Operating guidelines, and NPV of projects.
- Monitor P&L during month-end closing, ensuring encouraged entries are made and liaising with Entity Finance as necessary.
- Complete analysis of Opex/ Capex actuals compared to the latest plan, acquiring and verifying explanations from business partners.
- Produce reporting summaries for the Commercial Finance Opex/ Capex manager, presenting analysis and highlighting critical points.
- Prepare and lead business associates to guarantee a seamless year-end conclusion, prompt closure of records, and achievement of the plan.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance, or equivalent experience, with CPA certification as an advantage.
- 3-5 years of experience in budgeting, financial planning, and business partnering.
- Strong foundation in finance or accounting principles.
- Demonstrated skill in working across functions and collaborating with partners.
- Ability to simplify and communicate financial information to non-finance audiences.
- Experience in navigating corporate finance structures and translating them into functional execution.
- Critical thinking with attention to detail.
- Business insight and the ability to align financial planning with broader business goals.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
- Functional skills include:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project)
- SAP experience is required.
- Familiarity with TME is beneficial.
