What you'll do:As a Site Reliability Engineer specialising in Azure, you will play a pivotal role within our client's global Infra&Engineering Centre of Excellence. You will be responsible for staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in SRE and infrastructure management. Your role will involve enabling clients to navigate and scale the adoption of new IT methodologies that drive business agility using SRE. You will gather and analyse metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding. Partnering with development teams, you will improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in SRE and infrastructure management
Enable clients to navigate and scale adoption of New IT methodologies that drive business agility using SRE
Gather and analyse metrics from operating systems and applications for performance tuning and fault finding
Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
Design scalable, reliable, and secure SRE systems
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for issue identification and resolution
Create and maintain infrastructure, process, and procedure documentation
Optimise performance, ensure fault tolerance, and conduct capacity planning
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align SRE objectives with business goals

What you bring:The ideal Site Reliability Engineer will bring a minimum of 5 years' experience in the role to our client's team. You will have a strong understanding of system design principles, distributed systems and cloud infrastructure. Your proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, PowerShell and GoLang will be essential to your success in this role. You will also be proficient in Cloud technologies specifically Azure and GCP.

Minimum 5 years of experience as an SRE Engineer
Strong understanding of system design principles, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure
Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, GoLang)
Proficiency in Cloud technologies (Azure / GCP)
Experience deploying and managing container orchestration, service mesh, serverless, API gateway & observability stack
Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Deep knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog, AppDynamics, New Relic, etc.)
Experience with SCM tools (e.g. Git, Bitbucket, etc.)
Experience with orchestration tools (e.g. Jenkins, Openshift, CircleCI, Harness, etc.)
Solid understanding of Application Servers, Web Servers, firewalls, networks, and databases
