- Ensure compliance with national safety and health standards and local LGU regulations (e.g., fire safety, building compliance).
- Coordinate with government agencies during audits, drills, and inspections.
- Conduct regular site walk‑throughs to identify safety hazards in production floors, huddle areas, training rooms, pantries, and sleeping quarters.
- Monitor workstation ergonomics to prevent work‑related musculoskeletal disorders common in BPO setups.
- Oversee badge access, visitor protocols, and emergency exits within high‑traffic operations floors.
- Lead implementation of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) customized for 24/7 BPO operations.
- Facilitate fire drills, earthquake drills, and emergency evacuation trainings in coordination with building management and security teams.
- Maintain emergency equipment (AED, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, alarms).
- Respond to onsite incidents, first-aid cases, emergencies, or behavioral escalations requiring safety intervention.
- Conduct investigations for workplace incidents and prepare corrective action reports.
- Maintain logs of incidents, near-misses, hazards, and safety concerns raised by employees.
- Implement programs that address common BPO health risks: eye strain, fatigue, night‑shift adaptation issues, workplace stress, etc.
- Support occupational health initiatives with the company nurse or medical provider.
- Conduct safety orientations for new hires (BPO floor protocols, emergency exits, ergonomics).
- Provide regular safety briefings for leaders, support teams, and operations.
- Promote a culture of safety through awareness campaigns.
- Maintain reports, permits, compliance documents, and safety dashboards for internal and client audits.
- Provide weekly and monthly updates to management on safety KPIs and site compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in OSH, Engineering, Environmental Science, Psychology, or any related field (preferred).
- At least Safety Officer 2 (SO2) certification; SO3/SO4 is an advantage depending on site requirements.
- 1–2 years of experience as Safety Officer in BPO, corporate offices, or facilities management.
- Experience handling 24/7 operations or multi-site coverage is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.
- Good communication and presentation skills (for safety briefings).
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced BPO environments.
