Bachelor's Degree qualified or equivalent essential (e.g. civil engineering, transport planning, transport engineering, urban planning, economics, mathematics or data science). Additional qualifications in a relevant discipline would be desirable. Has knowledge and understanding of Department for Transport's Transport Appraisal Guidance (TAG), local transport policies, transport planning frameworks, and relevant transport guidelines Interest in developing digital skills such as data analysis or Python coding. Knowledge in transport modelling (e.g. highways, public transport, multimodal modelling, junction modelling). Knowledge and awareness in transport planning and strategy development (e.g., development planning, Transport Assessment, active travel). Knowledge of specification, delivery and application of strategic/junction transport models. Basic level awareness in PTV VISUM/VISSIM/CUBE/SATURN/AIMSUN/SIDRA modelling suite. Knowledge with spreadsheet analysis and spreadsheet-based models. Knowledgeable user of data analytics and mapping tools (GIS) and able to interpret quantitative transport models. Ability to support the delivery of transport technical documents including Excel, GIS and Word skills, client letters/emails. Ability to work within a team / Working on your own initiative. Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
