- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to real estate properties.
- Record and manage accounts payable/receivable, tenant payments, and vendor invoices in AppFolio.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for property portfolios.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow for multiple properties.
- Track property-related expenses, rental income, and ensure timely posting of transactions.
- Generate owner statements and financial reports directly from AppFolio.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for property management.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with audit preparation.
- Collaborate with property managers, leasing agents, and vendors to resolve financial discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records for tenants, owners, and vendors within AppFolio.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2–3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, ideally in real estate or property management.
- Proven experience using AppFolio software for accounting and property management tasks.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting practices.
- Proficiency in AppFolio, QuickBooks, or other accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial modeling).
- Ability to generate and interpret financial reports for property owners and management.
