Lead end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping for Australian clients, managing month-end reporting, BAS, and multi-currency transactions while guiding an offshore team member.Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Management Accountant / Bookkeeper with a strong background in Australian accounting practices. This role involves overseeing the full spectrum of management accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including month-end reporting, BAS preparation, and managing multiple foreign currency transactions. You will also be responsible for supervising one offshore staff member in the Philippines, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial operations.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare and finalise month-end reports for multiple Australian entities.Manage BAS preparation and ensure compliance with Australian taxation requirements.Handle bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.Manage multi-currency (FX) transactions and ensure accurate reporting.Prepare management reports and financial statements.Supervise, train, and provide guidance to one offshore accounting staff member in the Philippines.Maintain compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulations.Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely and accurate financial data.QualificationsProven experience in Australian accounting and bookkeeping, ideally in a public practice accounting firm.Strong understanding of BAS, GST, and Australian tax compliance.Hands-on experience in month-end reporting and management accounting.Experience with multi-currency (FX) transactions and reconciliations.Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Benefits
