The Construction Manager will serve as the overall lead on-site, managing day-to-day construction activities and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, and coordination skills to oversee all aspects of project construction management. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Civil Engineer or Architect with proven experience in managing large-scale projects, preferably in FMCG greenfield developments where safety and operational excellence are paramount.Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary lead on the construction site, overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with project plans, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet project deliverables and milestones.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure work is executed effectively and efficiently.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols to maintain a safe and compliant work environment, with a strong emphasis on FMCG standards.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the Lead, providing regular project updates, progress reports, and escalation of issues when needed.
- Ensure all construction activities align with regulatory requirements, engineering standards, and client specifications.
- Lead site inspections, resolve technical issues, and provide guidance to ensure quality workmanship.
- Foster strong collaboration across cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, safety, and quality assurance.
- Licensed Civil Engineer or Architect.
- Proven experience in project and construction management, preferably within FMCG greenfield projects.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing site teams and contractors.
- Solid knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and project management principles.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on-site full time and manage fast-paced, large-scale construction projects.
