DIRECT SUPERIOR: Accounting ManagerJob OverviewEnsure timely and accurate recording of all business transactions in accordance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Support the company in safeguarding its assets and assist management in decision-making.Job Responsibilities1. Financial AccountingEnsure completeness of accounting transactions recorded in the accounting systemPrepare accruals and adjusting journal entries during month-end and year-end closingPerform all functions related to fixed assetsAnalyze capital expenditures and depreciation expensesReconcile monthly bank and book balances and prepare necessary adjustmentsAnalyze and monitor general ledger accounts and prepare accounting schedules2. Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controlsComply with financial reporting requirementsMaintain confidentiality of all financial information and records3. Cross-Functional CollaborationCoordinate with various teams to address accounting concerns and business requirementsProvide professional support and assist in special projects as needed4. ReportingAssist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsSupport reportorial requirements for:Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)Department of Energy (DOE)Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC)Board of Investments (BOI)Other stakeholdersEnsure timely responses to audits and reviews by:External auditorsGovernment agencies (e.g., BIR, DOE)5. Continuous ImprovementStay updated on accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practicesRecommend and implement improvements to policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with Board of Accountancy (BOA) accreditation requirements for CPAs6. Other DutiesPerform other related tasks necessary to achieve team and organizational goalsJob RequirementsWork ExperienceAt least three (3) years of relevant experienceAudit experience is an advantageEducational BackgroundBachelor's degree in AccountancyCertified Public Accountant (CPA)Skills and CompetenciesStrong knowledge of IAS, IFRS, BIR rulings, and applicable laws/regulations (energy industry is a plus)Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP or NetSuite)Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applicationsStrong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with good organizational abilityStrong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsEffective time management skills
