We are looking for a highly motivated Service Delivery Consultant with skills in testing and test automation. You will work in our global Validation and Test (V&T) delivery unit consisting of cross-located teams delivering high quality testing services embedded into Configuration and Upgrade projects. V&T is a client facing part of the SimCorp Global Managed Services organization.In this role, you are to evaluate complex business requirements, design and implement test cases, conduct meetings with customers, ensure incident management and test results reporting. You will have a great opportunity to use your test expertise combined with automation experience to contribute to optimization and automation of testing services.The API Specialist for Automation (SimCorp Dimension) at the IC6 grade, is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing automated API testing and integration frameworks that support SimCorp Dimension (SCD) components and surrounding enterprise systems. The role ensures the quality, reliability, and performance of API based interfaces used for investment operations, portfolio management, and downstream financial workflows. This specialist collaborates closely with QA teams, SimCorp consultants, DevOps, and Product Development across global delivery setups.Key Responsibilities1. API Test Automation for SimCorp Dimension

Develop and maintain automated test suites for SCD exposed APIs (e.g., Front Office, Risk, Compliance, and Performance Management, Data Management).
Build reusable test automation components for validating business critical processes such as trade booking, valuations, instrument reference data, pricing, and portfolio data flows.
Implement and execute automated test suites triggered through CI/CD pipelines.

2. SimCorp Integration & Data Flow Validation

Automate validation of data exchanges between SimCorp Dimension and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., market data providers, custodians, clearing houses, accounting systems).
Support automation for SCD integration modules like SimCorp Gain, SimCorp API Gateway, and SimCorp Update Manager (where applicable).
Create tools/scripts to verify end-to-end data consistency across SCD tables, extracts, and API endpoints.

3. Framework & Tooling Development

Design automation frameworks using tools and technologies such as:
C# / .NET, MSTest, Reqnroll (BDD), Swagger, Insomnia.
Supporting utilities for XML/JSON schema validation and SCD extract processing
Integrate automation execution with Azure DevOps pipelines.

4. Collaboration with SimCorp Teams & SMEs

Work with SimCorp consultants and functional analysts to understand API usage, SCD configuration, workflows, and event triggers.
Participate in release readiness assessments, sprint ceremonies, and integration workshops.
Support teams in identifying testable API entry points for new SCD modules or service updates.

5. Monitoring & Debugging

Troubleshoot API failures by analyzing logs, payloads, sequencing, authentication flows, and SCD backend data.
Identify root causes within SCD processes or integrations.
Improve test stability and ensure coverage across environments.

6. Governance, Documentation & Standards

Maintain API test plans, Swagger/OpenAPI references, and automation framework documentation.
Ensure alignment to enterprise quality standards, version control practices, and SCD release management processes.
Support the establishment of API quality metrics and dashboards for reporting.

WHAT WE VALUE

Specialist level 7 to 10 years in QA / Testing Services field
3–4 years of experience in API automation in financial services or investment management systems.
Practical knowledge of API testing - understanding how endpoints, HTTP methods, and response status codes work
trong knowledge of C# and the .NET platform in the context of test automation.
Experience in creating and maintaining automated API tests.
Knowledge of BDD methodology and writing scenarios in Gherkin (Given/When/Then)
Ability to work with scripting languages particularly PowerShell
Experience working with Azure DevOps including Azure Pipelines
Experience working with Git repositories.
Good understanding of SimCorp Dimension, particularly:
Static data & instruments
Transaction flows
Accounting & valuation processes
Data Warehouse interfaces
Familiarity with capital markets concepts (securities, derivatives, positions, pricing).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Azure DevOps, Git).
Experience with Insomnia for API Testing and with Visual Studio Code.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SimCorp Dimension Integration Layer (IL), SCD Web Services, or SimCorp Coric APIs.
Understanding SCD transaction lifecycle modules and configuration.
Knowledge of financial messaging standards (SWIFT, FIX, ISO 20022).
Familiarity with the Reqnroll (SpecFlow) framework

Soft Skills

Solid analytical thinking and structured problem solving.
Clear communication and documentation skills, especially when engaging with functional teams.
Attention to detail with a focus on data integrity and accuracy.
Ability to work across distributed global teams in Agile environments.
