Role description: To help design and implement the Global Privacy Program To support the global/in-country Arcadis enabling functions and operations leadership with the execution of their privacy tasks A successful Privacy Program Specialist will contribute to the embedding of privacy in the organization and ongoing privacy compliance Role accountabilities: We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Privacy Program Specialist to oversee, be the operational architect of and enhance our privacy program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing privacy policies and procedures, managing privacy compliance initiatives, and ensuring adherence to applicable privacy laws and regulations. The Privacy Program Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain a strong privacy framework that protects our customers' and employees' data privacy rights. The main responsibilities of this role include: Running and being the main interface for the Global Privacy Program designed in conjunction with the Global Privacy Office. Providing privacy support to the Chief Privacy Officer, by assisting with: the preparation of internal privacy reporting Operational back-end management of SaaS privacy impact assessment tool, being responsible for modifying and implementing new questionnaires. official investigations or inquiries by government authorities, where relevant any other operational privacy request. Document management for Privacy Policy and related documents. the handling and reporting of personal data incidents, subject access and other requests and privacy complaints Providing privacy support to the Arcadis enabling functions and operations leadership (or delegates) consisting of: being an operational and architectural point of contact for the PIA Tool. Amongst others: user management, access management and administration role in PIA Tools supporting, on an operational level and as confirmed by the global, with the closure of privacy gaps as a result of reviewed privacy assessments, such as: the deletion or anonymization of stored personal data maintaining complete and effective documentation of Data Processing Agreements liaising with IT on the IT implementation of adequate security measures being a general point of contact for and providing support for any other privacy request. Working effectively with the Global Privacy Team, headed by the Chief Privacy Officer, by: contacting the Global Privacy Team for expert questions and know-how proactively designing and contributing to the Privacy Management System (Toolkit) with best practices and user experiences Ensuring to be familiar and compliant with Arcadis General Business Principles and core values and our Health and Safety regulations and guidelines. Conducting periodic audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the privacy program and recommend improvements. Staying up to date with emerging privacy trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the privacy program. Qualifications & Experience: Strong integrity and high professional ethics. Excellent project management skill is a requirement. Ambition to further strengthen the Legal, Compliance & Privacy function and teams within Arcadis and achieve progress is key. Knowledge of data protection principles and practices combined with willingness to quickly improve knowledge base. Legal and post-graduate qualifications is an advantage as well as any qualifications in program management skills. Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification or other relevant privacy certifications are highly desirable. Relevant working experience of 2-4 years in privacy program management gained from an international organization; experience within privacy, legal, compliance or IT functions is an advantage. A sound understanding of data processing operations and conducting privacy impact assessments is an advantage. Should be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Arcadis business, processing operations, as well as information systems, data security, and data protection needs within at least six (6) months from start date. Client-focused, entrepreneurial, solution oriented pro-active, practical and open-minded, strong desire to learn and improve. Ability to work well proactively in a team and as an individual contributor. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and is sensitive to cultural differences.
