The DevOps Engineer is an essential part of our team, helping us build and maintain a robust and secure DevOps infrastructure that supports our continuous integration, delivery, and deployment efforts. In this role, you'll take the lead on automating systems, advocate for best practices in DevOps, and work closely with our operations and security teams. Together, we'll enhance the reliability, performance, and agility of our systems, driving success and making our work environment even better.Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains to support rapid development and deployment cycles.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
Monitor, analyse, and improve the performance, scalability, and security of systems.
Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions to recurring issues.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure that builds and releases are delivered seamlessly and reliably.
Promote a DevOps culture through knowledge sharing, mentoring junior team members, and advocating for infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation.
Maintain and improve observability tools, including monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stacks).
Ensure compliance with security best practices and company standards across all cloud and on-premises systems.
Manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) and optimise cost, performance, and reliability.
Participate in architectural reviews, contribute to technology roadmaps, and provide input on system design decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or infrastructure engineering.
Strong expertise with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Go) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Deep understanding of networking, system administration, Linux internals, and security best practices.
Experience with infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.

Desirable Skills:

Certifications in AWS/Azure or DevOps-related technologies.
Experience with serverless architectures, service meshes (e.g., Istio), or GitOps practices.
Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI-DSS.
