- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts in compliance with US GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
- Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entry postings, and accurate, organized reporting.
- Process monthly revenue tasks, including reconciliations, posting of entries, and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and assist auditors as needed.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of annual tax returns.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
- Support accounts receivable tasks, including contract uploads, billing, invoicing, and cash application.
- Manage customer relationships and resolve billing issues.
- Process monthly payroll activities, including payroll runs and payroll entries.
- Assist with investor and bank reporting.
- Manage emails effectively within Zendesk.
- Know how to manage the project management tool in a timely and proactive manner.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform ad hoc tasks, financial analysis, and process improvement projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in accounts receivable, payroll processing, accounts payable, and month-end close procedures.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Knowledgeable in ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- Experience working with US-based SaaS companies.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero), Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
