Our differences are what fuel our creativity.The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for overseeing and optimizing on-premises and cloud hosting environments, ensuring seamless patching, monitoring, backup, and storage management. This role is critical in maintaining the availability, reliability, and security compliance of hosting solutions, supporting operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvements in infrastructure management.What will you do?We know the work we do is vital in assisting Aurecon's business globally. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

Deploy, manage, and optimize Azure and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Oversee the creation, modification, and management of DNS and NTP resources, maintaining synchronization and domain resolution efficiency.
Administer backup and recovery solutions, including Azure Backup, Snapshots, Recovery Vault, and on-prem backups, ensuring integrity and availability.
Implement and manage OS patching for Linux and Windows servers in Azure and on-prem environments using automated tools like Azure Update Management.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, remediation, and security compliance enforcement across hosted systems and applications.
Deploy, update, troubleshoot, and maintain antivirus solutions, ensuring continuous protection and threat mitigation.
Monitor and manage system performance and health using Azure Monitor, Azure Insights, and on-prem monitoring tools.

Incident and event management, ensuring SLA compliance, timely resolution, and proper documentation.Firstly, strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, and adaptability to varying request. Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills. And as part of a new team, you will have the opportunity to shape this role and have input into how we evolve it over time to WOW our employees and make an even bigger impact on the world.You will also need the following:Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 years of experience as Server Engineer
Minimum of 1-2 years of current experience with Microsoft Azure (Entra ID, Azure Arc, Azure Update Manager, Azure Monitor, and Azure Backup)
Microsoft Server 2016 or above – Admin and Management (Troubleshooting, installation, decommissioning, and server build)
Microsoft Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, Site Services, and Group Policy) – Admin and Management
Backup and Storage management
Vulnerability and Patch management
Linux, PowerShell (scripting), and SCCM (patching)
