You will be part of a global team servicing our clients with consultancy and operations. This role is focusing on client engagement and project work. You will end up in the sweet spot between on-premises and cloud-based solutions and help our clients benefit the most of both worlds. Clients with production critical systems, compliance regulations, data privacy concerns are looking to take advantage of the Cloud and would like to leverage the agility, speed, and flexibility the cloud is promising. Key tasks: Be the customers trusted advisor on how to design Linux based solutions and makes best use of AEVENs operational capabilities. Consult the clints on the right solutions regarding security, availability, disaster recovery. Take part on customer projects, from small IOT test installation to large scale transitions. Ensure smooth transition of customers IT systems into AEVENs operation. Bring in customer inspiration. As you will have a tight connection to the AEVEN Operations teams, you will be the voice of the customer bring in new perspectives that can guide AEVEN service development. Job Requirements: Relevant bachelor's degree, and technical certifications. Extensive knowledge on UNIX/Linux administration supporting a large scale/global site from remote locations. At least 5 years solid working experience with extensive experience in daily operations/system administration with two or more UNIX/Linux flavors Understanding the cores system of Unix/Linux operating systems: Files disk system, lvm Networking, internal FW User management, sudo Logging mechanisms Package management system, yum etc. High availability technology at least one Primary operating systems are: Red Hat Enterprise Linux IX Ability to write/debug shell scripts. You have a consultant mindset and feel comfortable in a changing environment with many different tasks in motion at the same time. Profound knowledge of complex server operations and several years of experience with Red Hat or SUSE Enterprise Linux You have experience on one or more Cloud platforms Azure, AWS etc. You have taken relevant courses and obtained relevant certifications e.g. RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator, RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) or RHCA (Red Hat Certified Architect). You know bash-shell scripting, Python Scripting, and preferably you can structure and write Ansible Playbooks We expect you to have knowledge of the basic ITIL processes. Nice to have: RHCA (Redhat certification) Additional technologies HP-UX Solaris SLES Ubuntu Add on: Veritas cluster/file system PowerHA Scripting with Ansible Experience working with SAN/NAS and other Storage technologies (e.g., 3PAR, EMC VMAX/VNX/VPLEX). Symantec NetBackup experience is desired and other backup solutions. Familiarity on HP Enclosure and HP Tools (iLO and OA) and other blade technologies.
