- Supervision of team’s responsibilities for the preparation and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results.
- Responsible for the close process including balance sheets, profit and loss statements.
- Process control implementation to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and accounting standards/policies.
- Support the monthly close and consolidation process.
- Preparation or review of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory reports
- Preparation or review of monthly trial balance and Bank reconciliations
- Responsible in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing of the books
- Month and year-end process
- Review of journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statement analytics
- Participate in the peer review process of balance sheet reconciliation
- Drive and support continuous improvement and reduce cycle time in the monthly close process through the increased utilization of technology and tools, implementation of standard operating procedures and other efficiency measures
- Support internal control assessments and establish and maintain effective design and operating effectiveness of internal controls of assigned processes
- Implements processes and controls to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and Corporate accounting standards/policies.
- Coordinate with and support external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audit
- Collaborate with management and department heads to resolve accounting-related issues
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in the output of accounting staff
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA or CPA equivalent preferred
- At least 7 years of relevant accounting experience, including 2 years in leadership position
- Consolidation experience at a large, multi-national company is strongly preferred
- Experience with Oracle/SAP ERP system, Hyperion and/or OneStream is strongly preferred.
- Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Public accounting and/or large US public company experience a plus
- Strong understanding and practical working knowledge of US GAAP
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze large amounts of data
- Strong communication skills
- Insightful ability to identify trends and themes for continuous improvement across the function
- Ability to overcome obstacles and achieve objectives, changing direction along the way to achieve business objectives
