The Database Administrator is responsible for database server capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery. The Database Administrator is also tasked with generating reports.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitors/troubleshoots database servers located onshore and offshore office.
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database software and related tools.
Implement and manage databases security protocols and access controls.
Perform regular databases structures, including tables, indexes, and views.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including capacity and performance concerns.
Provide reporting on various metrics.
Maintain documentation of databases systems, processes, and configurations.
Coordinates and works with other department leads in dealing with issues and other IT concerns.
Collaborate with developers to support application and reporting requirements.

Candidates must possess as least a Bachelor’s/College Degree Computer Science/ Computer Engineer, Information Technology, Mathematics or equivalent.
Advance knowledge about the RDBMS, e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL.
Advance knowledge of structured query language (SQL), e.g. Transact-SQL.
Advance knowledge of Microsoft BI and Tools, e.g. SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS.
General understanding of operating system, e.g. Windows.
General understanding of storage technologies and networking.
General understanding of routine maintenance, performance tuning, recovery, and database high-availability.
