WHAT IS A/AN SENIOR MECHANICAL DRAFTSMAN We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Drafter to join our engineering team at Delta Electronics. The successful candidate will. WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Create detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) based on input from Solution engineers and designers. Assist in the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for various products, including power supplies, cooling solutions, and enclosures to workshop production level drawings. Collaborate and advise Soution engineers and designers to review and revise designs for production/construction, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and adherence to project requirements. Generate bill of materials (BOMs) and parts lists for mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Conduct tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure proper fit, form, and function of mechanical designs. Support the prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs, documenting and addressing any issues or discrepancies identified during the process. Assist in the documentation of design changes, updates, and revisions, maintaining version control and ensuring traceability of design modifications. Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to provide technical support and resolve design-related issues during the manufacturing/production process. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in mechanical drafting and design software. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR Associate degree or certification in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. Real world workshop and drafting experience preferred over academic qualifications however must have international experience. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, with a strong understanding of mechanical/electrical drafting principles and practices. Demonstrated experience in mechanical drafting and design, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents accurately. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in mechanical component fabrication. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical design and drafting.
