Working within a small friendly team, this role primarily involves preparing and reviewing SME annual accounts for various clients along with personal tax returns for individuals. Ideally, you will have worked within an accountancy practice in a similar role dealing with UK companies, UK accounting policies and UK vat. You will be a motivated, passionate professional with an accountancy qualification and a good working knowledge of Xero software. Key Responsibilities Including But Not Limited To Prepare client annual accounts for SME s and partnerships using their accounting packages as a baseline: TB workings and lead schedules prepared in Excel Control accounts Payroll and taxes reconciliation Journal entries documented Upload/input TB into accounts reporting package (currently Digita) Review TB workings and draft accounts prepared by other members of the team. Prepare personal tax computations and returns for various clients/individuals. Review and submit quarterly vat returns as necessary. Cashflow forecasting for some clients. Provide other ad hoc accounting services to clients as required. Skills & Qualifications Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any related program At least 2 years of relevant working experience in navigating UK accounting procedures. Must have a working knowledge of Xero accounting software Must be proficient in all standard Microsoft Office packages Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team Must have analytical and problem solving abilities Must be organized, with keen attention to details Must have IT and data entry skills Must have the ability to plan, prioritize, and focus on critical tasks Must have excellent English communication skills Must be willing to work on fixed UK shift, Monday to Friday (3:30 PM to 11:30 PM MNL) Must have a fast and stable internet connection for a temporary work from home arrangement
