Monthly starting rate: $560 -$800 (based on a 20-hour workweek, depending on level of experience)What You’ll DoDevelop, refine, and execute a marketing strategy around the grand opening and beyondManage and grow Facebook and Instagram pagesLaunch and manage Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads campaignsBuild a storytelling-focused content calendar with event-driven and promotional postsCreate social content (static and motion designs in Canva)Collaborate with the founder on messaging, tone, and creative directionOptimize Shopify store content and establish a basic SEO presenceDesign and execute Klaviyo email campaigns for events, promotions, and VIP membershipsProvide weekly high-level updates and monthly reports (via PowerPoint)Support TikTok content ideation and trends (especially BookTok)Assist with cross-promotion of in-store events and ticketed experiencesWhat We’re Looking ForProven digital marketing experience in retail, e-commerce, or event-driven businesses (at least 3 years)Proficiency with Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram) and Google AdsStrong Canva skills for rapid content creationExperience managing content calendars and campaign workflowsComfortable analyzing data and presenting insights in PowerPointExcellent communication, collaboration, and confidence in a startup environmentAvailable during AEST hours for regular collaborationNice-to-HavesPassion for books and genre fiction (romance, fantasy, horror, thriller)Familiarity with Shopify marketing, Klaviyo, and email automationKnowledge of BookTok trends and TikTok strategyExperience optimizing basic SEO (keywords, product descriptions)Understanding of platforms like Pinterest or X (Twitter)Recruitment ProcessPortfolio & Experience ReviewInitial InterviewClient InterviewOffer & OnboardingPowered by JazzHR
