IT Security & Privacy Policy Coordinator Contract Duration: 6 month contract Work Setup: Remote Work Shift: EST Position Summary The IT Security & Privacy Policy Coordinator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and refreshing the company's privacy and security policy documentation. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and writing skills, as the individual will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure policies remain accurate, current, and aligned with regulatory, legal, and operational requirements. In addition to policy management, the role will support ongoing security awareness initiatives, including monthly communications, phishing simulation follow ups, and training activity tracking. This position plays a key role in strengthening organizational security awareness and policy compliance. Key Responsibilities Privacy & Security Policy Management Coordinate the periodic review and refresh of company privacy and security policies and related documentation. Engage and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders, including: IT Security Legal Privacy Office Compliance Facilities Human Resources Track policy updates, approvals, and version control to ensure consistency and audit readiness. Ensure documentation aligns with recognized frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO, SOC), where applicable. Stakeholder Coordination & Communications Act as the central point of coordination for policy updates and stakeholder feedback. Work with the Communications team to: Arrange translation of policy documents. Publish approved documents to the internal employee portal. Support clear and consistent messaging related to privacy and security requirements. Security Awareness & Training Deliver monthly security awareness communications using multiple channels, including: Email communications Intranet postings Security training tools Support phishing simulation activities by: Monitoring simulation results. Conducting follow up communications, including phone calls when required. Tracking completion of required training and follow up actions. Maintain accurate records of training participation and awareness activities. Tools & Systems Learn and effectively use: The Loop Cofense Utilize Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) to support documentation, tracking, and communications. Qualifications Required Qualifications Strong coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines. Excellent written communication skills, with experience drafting and maintaining formal documentation. Experience working with the Microsoft application toolset. Ability to work independently in a contract role while collaborating effectively with diverse teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ISO, SOC, or similar compliance and control documentation. Prior experience supporting privacy, security, risk, or compliance initiatives. Familiarity with security awareness programs or phishing simulation activities. Additional Information This is a contract position with a defined six month term. The role requires regular interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and follow through is essential for success.
