About The Opportunity As a Category Buyer for Automated Systems, you take ownership of a defined portfolio of direct materials and services to support QIAGEN's strategic procurement goals. In this role, you strengthen supplier relationships, secure highquality materials, contribute to costeffective purchasing decisions, and support crossfunctional teams to ensure operational excellence. Your tasks include Prepare purchasing plans for direct materials and services in line with category needs. Follow and apply QIAGEN's procurement policies, guidelines, and compliance standards. Review, compare, analyze, and approve products and services in alignment with the procurement strategy. Contribute to the development and implementation of category and sourcing strategies. Take full ownership of your portfolio, including routine decisionmaking and supplier coordination. Maintain and update supplier information, such as qualifications, lead times, and product portfolios. Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating pricing and contracts to secure value for QIAGEN. Your profile A Bachelor's degree holder in Business Management or Operations Management, Finance or related field. Bring at least 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or project management. Preferably have SAP system knowledge. Demonstrate strong written, verbal, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Work collaboratively with crossfunctional and global teams, including virtual setups. Influence stakeholders positively to drive outcomes and improve performance. Build strong internal partnerships across all organizational levels. Show problemsolving ability and a proactive, solutionoriented mindset.
