- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Acknowledge in Sprout Payroll is an advantage
- Collect and review timesheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings.
- Input payroll data into the payroll system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process payroll adjustments, including bonuses, commissions, and other types of compensation.
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including Form 2316 and monthly Compensation withholding returns.
- Handle inquiries and audits related to payroll taxes.
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
- Coordinate with HR for enrollment, changes, and termination of benefits.
- Calculate and deduct employee contributions for benefits programs.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions, including employee timekeeping and attendance.
- Generate payroll reports for management, accounting, and regulatory purposes.
- Provide support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.
- Maintain and update payroll software and systems.
- Generate year-end payroll reports for tax reporting purposes.
