- Provide support to FP&A divisions to provide reporting leveraging finance software and data to create a single source of truth.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on finance software and support other stakeholders within company on these systems.
- Train and maintain support material for finance reporting software and systems.
- Administer the Financial Planning and Commissions systems, including implementing system changes and enhancements, managing user access and permissions, performing ongoing maintenance and configuration, and serving as the primary liaison with IT teams and vendors for system-related issues.
- Work collaboratively with various stakeholders including FP&A, IT, Corporate Accounting and Sales teams to improve business processes and create consistency.
- Build and monitor reports. Ensure data integrity and consistency in reporting.
- Develop relationships with corporate leaders; understand their challenges and make improvements to existing processes.
- Generate new financial insights using analysis and decision support tools.
- Facilitate connections between Corporate and the Business Unit teams.
- Support new business development initiatives for growth.
- Create repeatable reporting and dashboards that clearly and concisely communicate the story behind the data to key business stakeholders.
- Conduct exploratory analysis with new datasets to uncover actionable insights to drive strategy and decision making.
- Build new datasets, models, and visualization of data; create training materials, lead training sessions, partner with other teams in the organization to ensure they have and are using the tools they need to be successful.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management information systems (MIS), data analytics or related field experience; CPA or CFA, MBA a plus.
- 3 years of professional finance and data experience.
- Understanding of end-to-end financial planning processes.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling and forecasting skills, and strategic thinking capability.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Excel, SQL Server Management Studio, Board Captivate IQ or similar programs. Microsoft 365 is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with business intelligence and visualization tools like Alteryx and Power BI or similar tools.
- Exceptional quantitative skills and fluency with data and its interpretation and impact on business strategy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, teamwork, and a service first mindset.
- Proven experience driving process improvement initiatives across departments and within large organizations.
- Experience and confidence to work directly with executives, communicating complex financial concepts and arrangements and influencing strategic decisions and outcomes.
- Excessive attention to detail and quality of work.
- An intellectual and inquisitive personality and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain standard operating procedures, training material and train others on complex systems and concepts.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, value deadlines and complete work on time.
- Be adept at working where processes may still be undefined and require imagination and ingenuity to develop cogent analyses, implement process improvements and effect positive change.
- Ability to work in a team environment where process improvement and change management is very much a collaborative effort between the division senior leadership and corporate versus a “top down” approach.
- Must be able to work in periods of tight deadlines.
