This position is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient manufacturing of new products, particularly in Low Volume Manufacturing (LVM) environments. The primary objective of a Senior NPI Technician is to provide hands-on technical support to Probe and Test NPI Engineering for specific products or groups of products once they have been transferred from the development stage into in-house production. This ensures that new products are manufactured efficiently, reliably, and to the required quality standards.What You Will Do:
  • Engineering Support in LVM: The technician performs critical functions associated with Probe and Test engineering support in Low Volume Manufacturing. This includes conducting verification tests, executing experiments, performing reworks, and carrying out quality testing related to both the product and the test processes.
  • Non-Conforming Lot Disposition and Failure Analysis: They assist in the disposition of lots that do not meet quality standards and support failure analysis activities to identify root causes of issues.
  • Data Collection and Evaluation: The role involves utilizing various data tools to collect and evaluate test data, which is crucial for understanding process performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement Assistance: The technician helps in the development of methods and procedures designed to control or modify the manufacturing process, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Sustaining Activities and Other Tasks: They perform product and machine sustaining activities, ensuring that equipment and processes are running optimally. Additionally, they are responsible for other related tasks assigned by their immediate superior, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support various operational needs.
