Job DescriptionThe Power Plant Project Manager is responsible for the overall execution and management of engineering, design, construction, commissioning, and startup of the Power Plant facility. Handles the regulatory requirements, to ensure a smooth integration with the project requirements. Resolve design and engineering issues and manage commercial and contractual issues. Overall responsibility for the budget, schedule, QA/QC, safety, and reporting, as related to the Power Plant.Operations and Maintenance Planning: Develop comprehensive maintenance and operation plans and schedules to ensure the continued operation of critical machinery and equipment. This includes preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and routine inspections.Budget Management: Ensuring that projects perform well to improve overall profitability and cash flow; meeting schedules; ensuring adequate resources (including subcontractors, materials, and equipment); and avoiding, preventing, and mitigating risks (including subcontractors' statutory compliance).Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, engineers, and support staff. Assign tasks, provide training, and maintain a safe working environment.Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect and assess the condition of heavy machinery, equipment, and facilities. Identify and address any issues, defects, or potential hazards.Maintenance Procedures: Develop and maintain standardized maintenance procedures (SOPs) for various equipment and processes. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of spare parts and critical components required for equipment repairs. Ensure that necessary spare parts are readily available when needed.Compliance and Safety: Ensure that maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards. Promote a culture of safety among maintenance personnel and conduct safety training programs.Downtime Reduction: Implement strategies to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability. Optimize maintenance schedules and use condition-based maintenance practices to detect and address issues proactively.Data Analysis: Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions about maintenance priorities and resource allocation. Implement predictive maintenance techniques to identify and address equipment failures before they occur.Emergency Response: Develop emergency response plans for equipment failures or other critical incidents. Ensure that maintenance teams can respond quickly to minimize disruptions and ensure safety.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, repairs, and safety incidents. Proper documentation is essential for reporting, compliance, and future planning.Communication: Collaborate with other departments within the heavy industry facility, such as operations and engineering, to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure efficient operation.Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Explore new technologies and best practices.
