This role handles assigned accounting functions pertaining to the day-to-day operations of the business. It is a complex and multi-faceted role where the incumbent needs to display strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task.This is a high-paced role where the incumbent will experience significant demands and pressure if he/she is unable to competently manage the daily workloads and duties.Responsibilities:
  • Handle the day-to-day operational accounting functions
  • Prepare / process the following: Book of Accounts, Monthly Financial Statement, Journals, Month End report and Balance Sheet
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Assist business with regulatory reporting requirements
  • Maintain financial security by following internal controls
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
  • Prepare internal regular Financial reports to management detailing overall financial
  • position of the the business
  • Responsible for the compliance of annual audit requirements by preparing year-end Financial Statements supported by Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss schedules
  • Experience with tax accounting and preparation
  • Timely completion of work in accordance with the reporting timetables
  • Action other tasks or duties due to business exigencies or as deemed necessary by management to achieve business goals
Knowledge, Qualifications, and Competencies:
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • With significant working experience in general accounting
  • Ability to cope with change
  • Ability to prioritise and work with less supervision
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills, able to work under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
