💼 Role: IT Support Specialist - VictoriasKey Responsibilities
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide daily first and second-level support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues and ensure that tickets are properly handled and resolved on time.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT teams when necessary.
- Assist users in setting up new devices, software installation, and configurations.
- Hardware and Software Management
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals based on our policies and procedures.
- Assist users in setting up new devices, software installation, and configurations. Ensure proper approval is obtained prior to deploying/installing hardware and software.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep systems running smoothly.
- User Training and Security Awareness
- Guide users on best practices and basic troubleshooting during new device or software deployments.
- Educate users about phishing, malware, and safe computing practices.
- Documentation
- Maintain records of all asset accountability forms and ensure that all assets deployed have corresponding documentation signed by employees.
- Ensure that all support ticket requests are recorded in Ticketing Systems
- Ensure inventory of IT assets is up to date.
- Develop and maintain knowledge base to help users and other IT staff resolve common issues faster.
- Collaboration and Backup Support
- Participate in IT initiatives such as systems and network upgrades, hardware installations, migrations, or new technology implementations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or any related field.
- 1-2 years’ experience in technical support or customer service role.
- ITIL, CompTIA A+ is a plus.
- With basic knowledge in Hardware and Software troubleshooting
- Must be Customer Service Oriented
- Good communication skills
- With basic understanding in network fundamentals – diagnosing connectivity issues, cabling management.
- With basic knowledge in Ticketing Systems and Inventory management.
- Familiar with Remote Support tools.
- Cyber Security - basic security principles such as virus removal, data protection, and safe practices.
