Our client is a leading Australian commercial services company that leverages technology to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and reduce manual processes.They are looking for a hands-on API Developer to take ownership of their API integrations, internal automation tools, and software stack.Job Responsibilities:Tool Development & Management
  • Maintain and improve a library of internal automation tools (primarily for simPRO).
  • Consolidate and standardise existing scripts into a modular toolset.
  • Create documentation and user guides for long-term scalability.
Automation & Integration
  • Review the current software stack and identify opportunities for integration.
  • Build and maintain system integrations to eliminate manual processes.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting solutions (e.g., Power BI).
Future Projects
  • Lead development of a custom mobile app for field technicians (leveraging simPRO’s API).
  • Explore AI-driven workflow solutions (QA, scheduling automation, CAD/job assessments).
RequirementsEssential:
  • Proficiency with REST APIs (e.g., simPRO, Microsoft, Power BI).
  • Strong scripting/development skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar).
  • Experience with automation platforms (Power Automate, Zapier, or equivalent).
  • Excellent documentation and process mapping skills.
  • Ability to assess business needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
Desirable (Bonus):
  • Experience in mobile app development or managing outsourced app projects.
  • Knowledge of AI integrations into workflows.
  • Familiarity with CAD automation.
