About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Patient Outreach & Collections Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management team . This role is essential in ensuring effective communication with patients who have fallen delinquent on their payment plans. You will be responsible for direct outreach via phone calls, texts, and emails, as well as generating and sending patient statements. Since automation is not yet in place, this position requires someone who is comfortable managing processes manually and working with large patient volumes across multiple practices. Responsibilities: Manage collections for patients who are delinquent on payment plans. Conduct outreach via calls, text messages, and emails to recover outstanding balances. Generate patient statements using designated software tools. Create and maintain reports showing patients in default and track resolution progress. Work closely with the Revenue Cycle Management team to improve workflows and recovery processes. Maintain accurate records of communications and follow-up actions. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clear and empathetic communication with patients. Support other RCM functions and contribute to process improvements as needed. Manage outreach across approximately 50 assigned practices . Requirements: 2+ years of experience in collections, medical billing, or revenue cycle management . Strong written and spoken English communication skills . Proficiency with patient account management and reporting software. High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. Ability to handle sensitive financial and patient information with confidentiality. Self-starter with strong problem-solving and follow-up skills. Nice to Have: Experience in healthcare collections or patient financial services . Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare billing practices. Background working with multi-practice medical groups.
