JEG Tower, Archbishop Reyes, Corner Acacia St., Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City, 6000 CebuYour Role as Accounting Associate As an Accounting Associate, you'll be supporting day-to-day financial operations by ensuring accurate processing, reconciliation, and compliance of financial transactions. This role focuses on expense review, payment reconciliation, account onboarding, and maintaining accurate financial records in line with tax regulations and internal policies.Key Responsibilities

Expense Review

Review submitted business expenses for accuracy and eligibility
Ensure compliance with applicable tax and regulatory guidelines
Identify discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary

Payments Reconciliation

Perform manual payment reconciliations
Maintain accurate and complete payment records
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Account Onboarding

Support client or account onboarding processes
Conduct identity verification and account activation
Ensure accurate setup and documentation

Remittance & Documentation

Monitor remittance inbox and review payment confirmations
Ensure payments are properly recorded
Maintain organized and accurate documentation

Process & Digital Enablement

Use approved digital tools and systems in compliance with data privacy and security policies
Maintain baseline AI and digital literacy relevant to the role
Participate in required trainings and continuous improvement initiatives
Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation or digitization

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Entry-level experience; foundational accounting knowledge required
Basic understanding of tax compliance and financial record-keeping
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems
CPA pathway or accounting certifications are an advantage but not required

Skills & Competencies

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time management skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow defined processes and meet deadlines
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Professional judgment and accountability in handling financial data
