- 3 years of experience in managing and configuring LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, VLANs, and network switching.
- Strong knowledge of service and application delivery, and a proven track record of meeting service level agreements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- In-depth knowledge of current protocols and standards, such as Active Directory, Group Policies, Linux security, Cloud security, core switching/routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN, virtualization, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Proficiency in system administration, developing standards, LAN knowledge, and active directory servers.
- Familiarity with various server brands, including Dell, HP, IBM xSeries, and Blades.
- Experience working with different operating systems, such as Windows OS 2000, 2003, 2007, 2008, Windows 10 and 11, Windows Server 2016 Enterprise, VMware ESX, Linux, and Mac OS.
- Knowledge of applications like Active Directory, VPN, MS Office 2013, SharePoint, O365 Administration, PowerShell, NetSuite Database Platform, and Microsoft Clustering.
- Familiarity with networking equipment, including Cisco, IBM, Fortinet Firewall, Juniper Firewall, Ubiquiti, Avigilion CCTV, DNS/DHCP/IIS, and IP subnetting.
- Setting up computer systems by selecting, installing, configuring, and testing hardware, software, networks, and operating systems for PCs, laptops, and servers.
- Gathering system requirements from users, analyzing workflow, access, information, and security needs, and designing system infrastructure accordingly.
- Monitoring and analyzing system performance, conducting troubleshooting, and fine-tuning to ensure optimal operation. Conducting load testing and escalating issues to vendors when necessary.
- Managing and maintaining servers, including email, print, and backup servers, along with their associated software and operating systems. Responsible for both on-site and off-site management.
- Implementing system security measures by developing access controls, monitoring tools, and evaluation processes. Establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures. Performing regular backups and maintaining documentation.
- Planning and coordinating the installation of hardware and software across the organization's network, both in-house and remotely.
- Administering user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory.
- Adhering to company policies and protecting the organization's interests.
- Continuously acquiring new technical and non-technical skills.
- Performing both planned and ad-hoc work outside of regular working hours.
- Negotiating with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to obtain network products and services.
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members.
