Learn more: The position will remain open until filled Department: Corporate Affairs and Communications Location: BGC, Taguig Reporting to : Corporate Communications & Public Affairs Director Role: Permanent WHAT IS THIS POSITION ABOUT The incumbent reports directly to the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Director. The role supports the formulation and execution of the overall corporate communications strategy to shape the internal/external environment for JTI Philippines and ultimately support the market's growthagenda. The scope of work includes internal/external digital content and channel optimization, leadership and employee communications, media monitoring and analysis, and he/she also supports the development of the annual strategic communication plans for the business and implementing the key elements of the plan. Straddling both internal and external communications, the incumbent will largely be responsible for developing and managing the company's digital channels strategy. A sizable focus of this role is also to serve as the dedicated strategic communications advisor and resource for a JTI Philippines entity as well as a selection of market business functions and their departmental leads (Excom). The role will support crisis response efforts for internal and external audiences including coordinating recommendations and managing corporate messaging. The individual also supports the business with media relations/chamber and business group engagement together with other identified external opportunities. WHAT WILL YOU DO Corporate Communications & Public Affairs Strategy: Supports the Corporate Communications & Public Affairs Lead in implementing the communications strategic direction for JTI Philippines Manages the development of short and multi-year communications strategies, consistent with the company's long-term and annual business plans and priorities Secures top management and internal buy-in and manages execution through collaborative and cross-functional methodologies, whenever possible Responsible for identifying communication opportunities for key issues and events in the market environment that could enhance awareness among internal and external stakeholders Communications & engagement -- Sets strategy to promote and protect the JTI brand via digital means: With a digital-first mindset, identifies, develops and implements the Company's corporate digital strategy Assumes ownership and governance of all digital communications channels - both internal and external Defines content plan and leads communication channel performance and impact analysis Sets relevant KPIs with a view to continuous improvement and optimization Internal communications & engagement -- Serves as the dedicated Communications Advisor and promary point of contact for JTI entity and selected functions and supports the entity/functional Excom in his/her leadership communications Identifies, develops, and implements communications strategies and initiatives that support business goals, engage our employees, and strengthen JTI's corporate reputation (internally/externally) Builds business knowledge and insights across the entity/function and provides strategic insights to capabilities on communication knowledge and skills gaps with the business and CC&PA Prepares the leader's annual communication plan and calendar of activities that support their business goals in line with the entity/function's ASP Develops relevant messaging for their key audiences, and makes recommendations on most effective channels. Also, writes speaking points upon request Establishes and maintains dialogue with relevant Excorn/key stakeholders at an agreed cadence Identifies key communication themes and opportunities for the functional Excom in line with business and corporate communication priorities Prepares communication plans to deliver on the entity/function's annual objectives and advises/guides the entity/function on best practice communications External Communications & Engagement -- Supports woth strategy to promote and protect the JTI brand externally: Developing crisis communication strategies aimed at diffusing negative news and/or situations, developing reactive media statements and mitigating risk through development and execution of a proactive crisis playbook Media reporting to include daily monitoring, development of monthly analysis report and agency SPOC Responsibility for overseeing manual social listening with regard to JTl/brands and operating environment Supports with media relations/events/press releases and chamber/business group engagement and sponsorship opportunities with messaging around issues affecting the business and industry OTHER Actively contributes to the wider team strategy to deliver an annual CC&PA functional plan in line with the CA&C ASP Identifies opportunities to improve, streamline and enhance our operations to move closer to our vision of being a world-class Corporate Communications team Fosters cross-team and cross-function awareness and collaboration Supports the CA&C Lead, CC&PA Director or other Directors as requested for special projects WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR University above ideally in communications, journalist or related field A professional communicator with 3-5 years' internal and external communications experience. Experience working in multinational organizations, FMCG, PR agency Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Technology or other related function Outstanding native-level written and spoken English skills. Tagalog proficiency is an advantage Functional Skills: Di gital mindset with excellent writing and storytelling ability Best-practice communication planning Strategic thinking with comprehensive knowledge of CA&C processes, strategies and corporate values Project management skills Decision making and accountability Strong communication/negotiation/facilitation skills Strong leadership and team management skills Collaborative and good team player Strong business acumen with solid analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to influence with impact
