Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of an established fintech company seeking a seasoned and strategic Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead its risk and compliance functions. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in fintech and a strong understanding of the Philippine financial regulatory landscape. This leadership role is critical in fostering a sound risk culture while supporting business evolution.Key Responsibilities

Design and implement the company's risk management framework
Identify and manage key risks across credit, operational, compliance, and market domains
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including those from the central bank and AML authorities
Advise senior leadership on all matters related to enterprise risk
Develop and oversee internal controls and risk policies aligned with business goals
Build and manage a risk and compliance team
Monitor emerging risks across digital financial services such as lending, payments, and embedded finance

Key Qualifications

8+ years in risk management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Experience in fintech or financial services strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of local regulatory standards, AML/CTF, data privacy, and consumer protection laws
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; certifications such as FRM, CPA, or CRCMP and/or an MBA are a plus
Background in Philippine fintech or digital banking
Familiarity with risk technology platforms and data analytics tools
