- Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's tax compliance, including national and local tax fillings.
- Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions.
- Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and resolving issues promptly.
- Stay updated on changes in tax and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external advisors to ensure comprehensive tax planning and compliance.
- Develop and maintain tax-related policies, procedures and documentation.
- Provide guidance and training to staff from Finance and other departments on tax compliance and regulatory matters.
- Monitor and manage the company's tax calendar to ensure timely filing and payment of taxes.
- Conduct research and analysis on various tax issues and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports related to tax matters.
- Ensure compliance with other regulatory requirements and other standards relevant to the company.
- Assist in performing other general accounting functions as needed, including but not limited to journal entries, account reconciliation and month-end processes.
- Asist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Contribute to the process improvement initiatives within the Finance Department.
- Performs other job-related tasks that may be assigned by his/her immediate superior from time to time.
- Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
- Experience or background in auditing firm is preferred
- Extensive experience in tax compliance, planning and accounting is a must.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with tax software and computer packages relevant to tax compliance
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others in a fast-paced environment
- A self-starter, highly motivated, decisive, and works with minimal supervision, as well as working effectively with both internal and and external
- Amenable to report onsite (Marikina).
