The Business Analyst Supervisor estimates, plans, and coordinates testing activities. Quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities. Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools. Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Prepare quality assurance action plans during new product development stage. Apply technical skills for quality function deployment, design for manufacturability, and in the development of design failure mode and effect analysis file. Validate quality processes by determining operational testing plans and performance qualification, writing, and updating quality assurance procedures, and revising product part approval process documentation and samples. Investigate customer complaints and/or failure mode definition in partnership with technical service and product management. Maintain and improve customer problem report process. Maintain and improve customer problem responses by assisting Quality department members with problem solving reports. Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations. Updates quality assurance job knowledge by studying trends and developments in quality management, participating in educational and training opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. H/She will also act as the second Point of Contact (POC) in providing technical and troubleshooting assistance related to software, technical tools, and other products. Train and assist Junior Business Analyst and Quality Assurance staff. Verify and cross-check testing procedures performed by Junior Quality Assurance staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering or other related fields Proven working experience in software development and software quality assurance. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, and test cases. Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing and automated testing tools Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. Preferred Qualifications Keen attention to detail Strong customer service orientation Experience working in a team-oriented, matrix environment. Outstanding communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills. Must possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with the ability to work independently.
