- Knowledge and application of the current version of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC).
- Knowledge and application of other relevant codes and standards such as NEMA, ANSI, NESC, NFPA, etc.
- Design substations for power plant projects, distribution projects, or transmission projects in a local or international environment.
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience working with Power Utilities, Transmission and Distribution companies, or Renewable connection projects within the Solar and Wind industry.
- Extensive experience in electrical networks and substations at 69KV level and above, including both overhead and underground networks and interconnection facilities.
- Strong knowledge of substation high voltage plant and equipment, including LV equipment, switchyard, busbar configurations.
- Strong knowledge of AIS/GIS substation busbar configuration and layouts and protection.
- Knowledge of relevant Philippines and International standards and codes, industry guidelines, and current industry practices.
- Experience and knowledge in the low voltage equipment within the substation, SCADA, secondary equipment protections, LV to HV interface.
- Experience with NGCP and Meralco protocols and requirements is an advantage.
- Experience with European protocols is an advantage.
- Experience with SEE, AutoCAD 2D/3D, Revit is an advantage.
- Proficient in Revit and 2D AutoCAD or Microstation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, and Access.
- Proficient in power modeling software (EasyPower, SKM, ETAP, AGI32, Excel).
- Familiarity with a third-party lighting design software package.
- Good listening, writing, and communication skills.
- Good presentation skills.
