The Environmental Officer will act as one of the project's Pollution Control Officer (PCO) whose duties and responsibilities are in accordance with DAO 2014-02 or the Revised Guideline for Pollution Control Officers. Together with the Managing Head, ensure compliance with the requirements of PD1586, RA 6969, RA 8749, RA 9003, RA 9275, their respective implementing rules and regulations (IRRs), and other pertinent rules and regulations. Facilitates monitoring of air emission tests of all air pollution facilities at stationary sources. Conducts inspection of facilities to ensure the company&aposs compliance with the environmental management system. Prepares Environment audit reports and follows up completion of control measures. Conducts environmental inspection and observation, prepares a report on findings, and follows up completion of control measures. Conducts Environmental Orientation to newly hired employees, visitors, clients, and/or stakeholders. Conducts internal Environmental Training. Prepares and submits SMR and CMR, Environmental Aspect Register, Environmental Incident Reports, and other related reports as may be required. Conduct site induction, training forum, and toolbox talk, as appropriate, to provide instruction on specific Environmental concerns. Participates in the conduct of Public Consultation. Prepares Socio-Economic Profile of affected communities, when required. Assist the team with the assessment and production of suitable environmental and safety measures, method statements, and reports to satisfy the requirements of this plan. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (Chemical, Sanitary, Civil, Industrial, Environmental Science) Preferably DENR-EMB Accredited PCO in Category B establishment. Preferably with more than 3 years of experience as a PCO. With a strong background in Environmental Management. Knowledgeable with the submission of Self-Monitoring Reports and Compliance Monitoring Reports. Knowledgeable with different environmental laws, which include butare not limited to PD1586. RA6969, RA9003, RA8749, RA9275 Knowledgeable in Environmental Management System/ISO14001 Basic knowledge/Understanding of MSDS & chemical handling Knowledgeable in all DENR-EMB online system applications.
