An AI Engineer specializing in Generative AI (GenAI) is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying intelligent solutions that address business needs. This role focuses on prompt engineering, scalable model integration, and ensuring production readiness through established MLOps practices.Key Responsibilities
GenAI & Prompt Engineering
- Design, test, and refine prompts to improve the quality, accuracy, and relevance of large language model (LLM) outputs.
- Tailor prompt strategies to align with specific business use cases and domain requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business processes, terminology, and challenges.
- Translate business requirements into effective AI-driven solutions.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain GenAI pipelines using tools such as MLflow or Azure Machine Learning.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable in production environments.
- Implement ethical AI principles, including fairness, transparency, and data security.
- Address risks such as bias and ensure model explainability where applicable.
- Analyze business requirements and design appropriate technical solutions.
- Develop and implement applications in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Follow established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deliver solutions within defined scope, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Escalate complex issues when necessary and adhere to organizational delivery standards.
- Ensure compliance requirements are met and assess potential customer impact.
- Provide support during testing, deployment, and post-implementation phases.
- Estimate effort, track progress, and manage assigned deliverables effectively.
- Maintain accuracy, quality, and timeliness of outputs.
- Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing initiatives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks within the domain, supporting stakeholders in making informed decisions.
Required
- Relevant professional experience in software development, AI, or related fields.
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
- Exposure to ServiceNow development.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant field.
- ITIL certification.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in GenAI tools, prompt engineering, and MLOps practices will be highly regarded.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and collaboration abilities are essential for success in this role.
