Primary responsibility is to design, implement, and oversee training and development programs for in accordance with international regulations and industry standards. Your role is crucial in ensuring that seafarers possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and competencies to perform their duties effectively and safely while onboard ships or other maritime vessels.Following are the non-exclusive duties and responsibilities of the Competence Development Officer.1. Assist the Competence Development Manager on the day to day operations2. Monitor the daily functions of the competence development associates as required by the Competence Development Manager3. Manage the accreditation of Training Centers based on the criteria set;4. Facilitate pre and post training evaluation of the in-house training;5. Monitor the competence development associates with the conduct of training for PDOS and Anti-piracy seminars.6. Coordinate with the Training operations head for the scheduling and assigning of instructors for CDC in house training courses.7. Update in-house training materials8. Screening of cadets 9. Facilitate selection of qualified cadets;10. Monitor and ensure completion of cadet/ officers development training program;11. Endorse qualified cadets and/or officers for promotion to the crewing department; 12. Monitor the competence development associates with booking of external training when needed.13. Generates the statistical report for assessment, training and cadet program for CDC operations as required.14. Carry out any task deemed necessary by the management
