- The JR. Central Materials Management Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of idle assets, scrap recovery, and machine divestment activities. This role ensures that excess and non-performing assets are properly dispositioned, while maximizing value recovery and driving cost savings initiatives. The position requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to maintain operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement within materials management processes.
- Oversee scrap machine divestment, ensuring alignment between targets and actual asset disposition
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders on idle machine handling and divestment processes
- Manage end-to-end divestment activities, including:
- Removal of assets from production
- Disposal through second-hand sales or scrap transactions
- Prepare and present regular reports to management on divestment status and performance
- Lead Scrap Recovery operations, including:
- Ensuring timely collection and processing of scrap materials
- Driving continuous improvement of Ways of Working (WoW)
- Maintaining 5S standards within the Scrap Recovery area
- Identifying and generating cost savings from production scrap
- Provide regular updates and reports to management on scrap recovery performance and savings initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in any field; Engineering-related courses are preferred
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); advanced skills are an advantage
- Project management experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Willingness to render extended working hours when necessary
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to build effective working relationships across teams
- Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineers and management
- Ability to effectively implement and communicate procedures across operations
