- Provide leadership and guidance to a specialist team engaged with processing plant operations to:
- Strengthen the safe work culture through actively leading and supporting Didipio’s safe systems of work.
- Safely deliver production targets
- Collaborate closely with the Asset Maintenance Manager in the planning and execution of maintenance activities.
- Work closely with other operational leaders to develop and execute annual and Life of Mine plans for the business.
- Evaluate current and potential processing methods and develop innovative and cost-effective operating methodologies to improve and sustain optimum production
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the Processing team, including safety, performance outcomes, workflow management, reviewing and overseeing tasks, staff administration and professional development, consistent with technical principles and in an environment that is focused on integration, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Actively work with the management team and contribute to overall organizational development and implementation of strategies, priorities and schedules.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Asset President – Didipio Operations and other internal and external parties.
- Degree in Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field highly desirable
- Minimum 10 years experience in mining operations, process operations and optimisation, and team leadership. Proven experience in an operational leadership role
- Knowledge of mining processes, process engineering, equipment and technology, safety and health regulations, environmental management, quality control and assurance, financial acumen, data analysis and optimization, regulatory compliance, leadership and team management, and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of best and sustainable practices in metal processing
- Well-developed technical writing and presentation skills
- In-depth understanding of engineering processes and a track record of generating practical and innovative solutions
- High levels of enthusiasm for the work with high-performance goals for self and team
- Strong Commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively within a culturally diverse workforce setting
