Lead Corporate Counsel

• Lead data privacy and protection initiatives, ensuring compliance with the Data Privacy Act, global privacy regulations, and fintech-specific requirements while embedding privacy-by-design in products and services.
• Provide expert legal and commercial advice on data governance, security, and customer trust, balancing regulatory compliance with business objectives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with clients, partners, vendors, and service providers, with a strong focus on privacy, confidentiality, and data handling provisions.
• Advise on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), conducting due diligence and negotiating transaction documents with attention to data privacy and regulatory risks.
• Guide leadership on licensing, regulatory compliance, and government relations, ensuring smooth engagement with regulators and industry bodies.
• Strengthen and streamline internal systems and processes to enhance compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency across the organization.

• Lawyer with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) from a combination of in-house and private practice, Banking & Financial Services industry experience preferred.
• Experience in technology-related legal matters, with an interest in data products, AI products, and the latest legal trends in technology.
• Ability to independently handle commercial contract drafting and negotiations.
• Enthusiastic about working in a start-up environment and contributing to positive changes in a fast-paced, dynamic company culture.
• Articulate, confident, and has strong communication skills.
