Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or any related course. Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) by DENR-EMB or willing to obtain accreditation. At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in environmental compliance, manufacturing, or industrial operations. Knowledgeable in Philippine environmental laws and regulations (RA 8749, RA 9275, RA 9003, RA 6969). Strong analytical, organizational, and report-writing skills. Proficient in MS Office and basic data analysis tools. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Specific Duties And Responsibilities Pollution Control Officer (PCO) Functions Ensure strict compliance with all applicable environmental laws, DENR regulations, permits, and clearances. Monitor and control air emissions, wastewater discharges, solid and hazardous waste generation and disposal. Prepare, submit, and maintain all required environmental reports, including but not limited to: Self-Monitoring Reports (SMR) Compliance Monitoring Reports (CMR) Hazardous Waste Manifests and Annual Reports Act as the official liaison with DENR, EMB, LGUs, and other regulatory bodies during inspections, audits, and investigations. Implement and maintain the company's Environmental Management System (EMS) and pollution prevention programs. Investigate environmental incidents, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and ensure proper documentation. Conduct environmental training and awareness programs for employees. Maintain accurate Industrial Engineer (IE) Functions Analyze production processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness. Develop and implement process improvement initiatives aligned with environmental sustainability and waste reduction. Conduct time and motion studies, capacity planning, and workflow optimization. Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, resource utilization, and waste generation. Support continuous improvement programs such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen. Provide technical recommendations to management for operational and environmental improvements.
