Senior Civil Designer

• Project Leadership: Lead and mentor team members, ensuring adherence to policies and maintaining high standards of professionalism
• Project Management: Assist in task delegation, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure timely project delivery while complying with relevant standards and legislation
• Design Expertise: Prepare and modify designs using appropriate software, provide technical input, review work for accuracy, and ensure designs are checked and approved before forwarding to relevant authorities
• Marketing and Business Development: Contribute to fee proposals, attend networking events, and foster relationships with existing and potential clients
• Governance & Quality Assurance: Maintain documentation standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements
• Health, Safety & Environment: Adhere to safety protocols, report hazards, and actively contribute to a safe workplace
• Innovation: Encourage an environment of idea-sharing, suggest improvements, and support innovative implementations across the business

• You have a minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role
• You have experience in using 12D to create detailed engineering designs for infrastructure projects (Australian Clients)
• You possess strong technical knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and relevant legislation
• You can work independently on projects of significant scale and complexity
• You have experience in preparing fee proposals, tender documents, and submissions
• You demonstrate advanced proficiency in relevant design software
• Your communication skills—both written and verbal—are excellent
• Your interpersonal skills are strong, allowing you to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
• You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or similar disciplines.
