- Research and write original content on a variety of subjects in the areas of commercial insurance.
- Organize and refresh product content.
- Prioritize writing assignments.
- Peer review other writers' work.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to proactively analyze content needs.
- Write and edit content for Zywave's internal employee communications, and marketing if needed.
- Keep current on trends and developments that impact the commercial insurance industry.
- Assist Zywave staff as needed and available.
- Perform other tasks on projects as needed/assigned by management.
- College degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related discipline.
- Strong research and writing skills. Familiarity with AP Stylebook, insurance terminology strongly desired.
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills to ensure accurate, error-free work.
- Experience editing content a plus.
- High level of computer literacy and Internet knowledge, including Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and take critiques as needed.
- Ability to understand our products, in addition to customers' and partners' needs in the insurance environment.
- Excellent oral communications and interpersonal skills and a strong desire to learn and grow, both professionally and personally in ways that will enhance job performance.
