The Cloud Technical Architect meets with companys product development teams to define the most appropriate cloud services to satisfy their various requirements. In addition, this position serves as the enterprise lead escalation point concerning AWS and Alibaba related operations issues as this role should be considered a hands-on functional position. As this role demands a significant amount of technical writing, it also requires a candidate who can think independently and clearly articulate technical opinions.
Understanding of public cloud platforms with a specific focus on AWS and Alibaba
Design cloud architectures that comply with company security policies
Experience collaborating with AWS engineering teams on AWS feature release cycles
Ability to comprehend and create complex network drawings using standard design tools (i.e. Visio)
Experience deploying and operating both cloud-based firewalls and load-balancers
Experience with application deployment, troubleshooting and production support
Working knowledge of Infrastructure management tools (Terraform preferred)
Familiarity/Experience with container technologies, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes etc.
Passion for writing detailed technical documentation in the form of both HL and LL engineering guides
Requirements:
EDUCATION/LANGUAGE: Bachelors degree in computer science or related technology/engineering discipline required.
