This role has been specifically designed to align with the aspirations and talents like you.This is a full-time, office-based role in Cebu City.Join us and connect and collaborate with the best minds, building a community of successful companies.ABOUT THE ROLEAs a MARINE DOCUMENTATION ENGINEER, you will play a crucial role in creating accurate and user-friendly maintenance manuals for engines and parts used in marine vessels. Your primary responsibility will be to develop detailed technical documentation that provides step-by-step instructions, procedures, and guidelines for the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of marine equipment. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, engineers, and technicians to gather information, validate procedures, and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the manuals.RESPONSIBILITIES· Develop Technical Manuals: Create detailed technical manuals that provide step-by-step instructions and guidelines for the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of engines, machinery, and equipment used in marine vessels. This includes but is not limited to main engines, auxiliary engines, pumps, valves, electrical systems, and associated components.· Research and Documentation: Conduct thorough research to gather relevant technical information, specifications, and procedures from manufacturers, engineering drawings, technical documents, and industry standards. Organize and document the information in a structured and accessible format.· Collaboration: Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and technicians to gather insights, validate procedures, and ensure accuracy and completeness of the technical manuals. Actively seek feedback and incorporate it into the documentation process.· Standardization and Compliance: Ensure that the technical manuals comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Maintain consistency in terminology, formatting, and style across all manuals.· Revision and Updates: Regularly review and update existing technical manuals to incorporate changes in equipment, procedures, or safety requirements. Keep abreast of technological advancements and industry trends to ensure the manuals are up to date.· Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on the technical manuals to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency. Perform usability testing to ensure that the manuals are user-friendly and easily understandable by technicians and engineers.· Training and Support: Provide training and support to technicians, engineers, and other stakeholders on the proper use of the technical manuals. Address queries and provide clarifications regarding maintenance procedures and guidelines.Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and relevant certifications or specialized training in technical writing would be advantageous.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in marine engineering, maintenance, or a related field.
Prior experience in creating technical manuals, procedures, or documentation for marine vessels is highly desirable.
Experience with planned maintenance systems, preventive maintenance practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
Strong understanding of marine systems, engines, machinery, and associated parts.
Up-to-date knowledge of marine engineering standards, regulations, and best practices. Familiarity with classification societies' rules and guidelines is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to understand complex systems, identify potential issues, and develop effective maintenance procedures.
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of technical manuals.
Ability to review and edit technical content for grammar, consistency, and clarity.
Proficient in using standard technical writing tools and software - Microsoft Office Suite, CRMs or Database
Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to adapt to changing requirements and technologies.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
