- Ensure awareness of the importance of good, quality food and hence, make every effort to prepare the best food possible.
- Have a thorough knowledge of the hotel and his/her kitchen's facilities and personnel involved.
- Have a knowledge of food service techniques and menu contents
- Be aware of the hotel fire and safety and emergency procedures.
- Ensure that food quality and standards are maintained at all times when preparing for restaurant and banquet functions
- Assist in food stock taking as required
- Adhere to all rules and regulations set by the management
- Contribute and work as a team in the general operations of the kitchen(s), offering to assist fellow colleagues when required
- Communicates and writes with fluency in English (as well as the local language)
- Is at least a Culinary College Graduate. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Has traits of being creative, rational, productive, and a team player
- Is an action-oriented and able to adapt easily
- Can go with extra miles to exceed colleague and guest expectations
- Is flexible and adaptable to different working locations
