Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Virtual Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to healthcare providers and ensure the efficient flow of medical office operations. The ideal candidate will excel at tasks such as data entry, appointment scheduling, records management, prescription refills, and patient insurance verification while maintaining a strong commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform data entry, maintain accurate patient records, and assist in managing medical documentation. Maintain a high level of organization in day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Schedule patient appointments, handle appointment reminders, and manage appointment calendars
  • Facilitate prescription refills and coordinate with pharmacies as needed.
  • Verify healthcare insurance coverage and eligibility for patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Work closely with insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to and from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
  • Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits and coverage.
  • Effectively communicate with patients to address inquiries, provide information, and ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Verify and update patient data as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, facilitating communication and addressing patient needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all aspects of the job.

Qualifications:
  • A graduate of any Nursing/Healthcare degree.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant or healthcare insurance coverage in a BPO setting
  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and HIPAA compliance.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Language proficiency, experience in call center for US clients is preferred
  • Able to support a Work from Home setup
  • Own PC/laptop (Minimum of i3 processor, 4 gig RAM)
  • Internet speed no lower than 10 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload
  • Can work graveyard shifts.
  • Being tech savvy is a plus.
